Local Democrats Rally Behind Clinton as Nominee

The Jackson County Democratic Committee, one of the state’s largest and most active Democratic organizations, is rallying behind our party’s nominee for President in Hillary Clinton.  With the primary now concluded, 100% of our focus must be on building upon the already superior framework to ensure Secretary Clinton is victorious in November.

“The choice has never been more obvious: do we want a risky, reckless and racist egomaniac to become the next leader of our nation or one of the most qualified and knowledgeable people to ever run” asked JCDC Chairman Tom Wyrsch.  “The stakes have never been higher and, in such an unpredictable election year, our work has never been more important.”

The JCDC and other Democratic leaders all around the region look forward to working with Clinton staff in the coming months recruiting volunteers, distributing information and registering voters for the November election.  Working toward a unified and clear message as all members of the Democratic party rally behind our nominee is the first step on the way to victory.  Senator Bernie Sanders said today in New Hampshire, “Secretary Clinton will be the Democratic nominee for President and I intend to do everything I can to make certain she will be the next President of the United States.” After formally endorsing Clinton, Sanders added, “there is no doubt in my mind as we head into November, Hillary Clinton is far and away the best candidate” when it comes to addressing the needs of the American people.

Speaking in front of a large and jubilant crowd, Secretary Clinton stressed that Democrats are stronger together which was the main theme of the unifying event.  Many issues were mentioned including racial equality, health care expansion, a working wage, public safety, collective bargaining, environmental protection, higher education and others that will be touchstones of the campaign moving forward.

As Secretary Clinton’s formal campaign returns to the Jackson County area, the Jackson County Democratic Committee will be coordinating and reaching out to people of all backgrounds across the area.  Future events and notices will be made available on their website at www.JacksonCoDems.org.
